DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR WEDDINGS IN CUBA
09 October 2008

British citizens who marry Cuban citizens in Cuba need to present the following documents:

  • IF SINGLE: Birth Certificate and Certificate of No Impediment
  • IF DIVORCED: Divorce Decree and Birth Certificate
  • IF WIDOW/ER: Marriage Certificate, Death Certificate and Birth Certificate
  • IF A NAME HAS BEEN CHANGED: Change of Name Deed Poll signed by a solicitor/notary, not by a trainee or a solicitor's firm.

All the original documents must be legalised both at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and at the Cuban Consulate.

All the translations have to be notarially certified and the Notarial Certificate has to be legalised at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and at the Cuban Consulate, in the same manner as the originals.
