What is it?

Legalisation is official confirmation that a document is genuine.

If you are getting married abroad, the host country may stipulate the original documents are legalised. Legalisation of the original documents is performed at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO).

The host country may also require any corresponding translations legalised. If this applies, legalisation of the translations will be done by the relevant national Consulate or Embassy.

For customers getting married, we will get your documents legalised at the FCO and also where necessary the translations at the national consulates or embassies. Messenger Services can form part of an all inclusive package (i.e. legalisation + translation) or as a standalone service.
